Zach McCoy was born in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to Georgia when he was but a wee lad. As a teenager, after a long stint playing baseball, he became interested in music and playing guitar. Zach's early influences included Led Zeppelin, Niel Young, and Michael Hedges. Zach has played (though sometimes breifly) more musical instruments than 99.9% of human beings that have ever lived. These instruments include, but are not limited to: guitar, bass, dobro, oud, flute, native amerivan flute, flamenco guitar, and banjo. Also, he is a world-class beat-boxer.
Zach plays a Fender Jazz Deluxe and an Upton "Hawkes Model" Upright. |
